Government should not favor anyone. It is in the nature of things that industrious people will tend to take more advantage of opportunities offered by government (or anyone else). This is the fault of the lazy people, not of government.

I fail to see what this has to do with any liberal principle, though.

Re:

The problem with this is that governments inevitably do favor someone; that's in the very nature of government policy. The only question is whether or not that favoritism should be explicit or should be allowed to ride under the radar. Personally, I think governments should discourage laziness by passively resisting helping the lazy maintain their lifestyle.

song lyrics

hi, my name is Jean and i was doing a search to try and find this song that I like. I typed in a few lyrics and it led me to your journal and I wondered if you would be able to at least give me the song title and/or artist so that I could locate the lyrics. This is what I searched for: "Ooh, baby do you know what that's worth? Ooh, Heaven is a place on Earth. I would greatly appreciate it if you could e-mail me at phoenix_the_sequel@excite.com
and thank you very much
