I hope I never find myself in a situation that would be effectively addressed by asking oneself, 'What would Miles Vorkosigan do?'

"What would Cordelia Vorkosigan do?"

When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping. So she did.

Heh. I'm in a long-running Dragon Star (aka D&D in spaaaaace!) game, and one of our characters is stolen - err - modelled on Miles Vorkosigan. Except she wanted female, so she named her Cordelia Naismith. When we needed an alias, she switched to Ekaterine Volkova, but she's pretty much all Miles, all the time.

And yes, sometimes we ask her what she thinks we should do :)

If you're starting with Bothari, there's nowhere to go but saner.

So very very true....

Start with “The Warrior's Apprentice”

That link is to the first few chapters of the very latest book about Miles.

For those who haven't come across Mile Vorkosigan yet, “The Warrior's Apprentice” is a much better place to start. And the entire book is free.
