Went to Third Place
I think the salmon spread I had on my bagel this morning wasn't the best in the world... Urgle.

Went to Third Place books last night for the weekly north-end polyamory get-together. And while I have to admit that there are a lot of very cool and froody people there, poly "get togethers" sometimes attract folks who bother me...

... enough to make me wonder if I belong there. I mean, am I a freak? Do I look like one, act like one? Just kinda wondering if maybe I go to these subcultures because I'm the strange one, the one who makes other people uncomfortable.

Current Mood: sick sick
Current Music: Speed Soundtrack, Wildcat

My first Impression

Never been to the 3rd place. I would like to but, I'm too scared to and I'm not ready to meet people. Plus I don't have the time to as well.

Freaky people...Interesting. You can't really class them as that. Frist impression or first meeting someone is hard. Some people just don't know how they come off towards another person. I for one don't know how to interact with people other than co-workers.

At work...it's a job and I'm getting paid to do it...Money is in my mind at all times.

Out side, I don't have a moditive why or how come I need to talk to this person. So I don't say nothing and just stare at them.

So how would you class me ... a Freak as well.

When I sort of met you at the Terra Ball, and Mark invited me in line with you and him. Conversation was interesting and ear catching. You kept your back towards me, your hands in your pocket jiggling something. When I ask Mark about the Odessy Project in Mars that I read about when I was kid and was so fascinated by. He didn't know a thing about it... the conversation stop. I was at lost in how to strike up another contributation to the conversation to what he was in control of. My first impression is...you were bore with his topic...for all you kept saying was..Um ..Ok...interesting...really I didn't know that. Sometime you actually said something really caught my interest.

Point is I thought you were bored with the conversation and not listening to anything he was actually saying. When you came with a certain comment and air pressure in toward enviromental control in reference to what Mark was saying....I was wrong.

Some people are just scared - they may seem like a freak to you. Yet they just don't how strike a correct pose towards you for they really don't know you. You can't really call them a freak for you don't know them as well.....

If not ... sorry for the word salad.

I've pretty much stopped going to our local polymunches. One or two people there _really_ annoy me and I decided that the indigestion outweighed seeing folks I see in other contexts anyway.

The majority aren't flakes/freaks -- only you can decide if you fit that description.

I'd guess not.
